Thermography and burns assessment riddlea 6/20/2011
Hi,

looking to assess burn injury using Flir SC660 camera. Problem not sure what temperature range to use. I am currectly using a temp of 30 degrees base and 37 degrees top. The 37 degrees is the patient core temp. Is there an ideal temperature range that anybody knows about? thanks andrew

There is no one specific temperature span to use for life science applications. Pattern recognition is the primary method for diagnosis. Necrotic tissue will look colder due to the lack of a viable blood supply.
