DEEP MESUREMENTS PADILLA 11/23/2011
Hello;
I'm searching for a solution with active thrmografy. I need to measure the deep of one fissure, and I don't know if I can measure with thermography. What do you think about this solution?
Thanks fr your help.

Hi
If the crack is thin and parallel to the surface, I doubt you will detect it with a surfacic excitation. I would rather try other modes of heating such as induction (if material permits) or flying spot.
This being said, extracting the depth......?
Try search on http://www.ndt.net/search/docs.php3

Hi Rapahel;
The depth of the fissure is around 5mm. and the material is rubber, so I can`t use conduction to a fast test.
I need to do a pass/not pass system.
I think that I can't take one standar with a depth knwonn to have one reference to compare the other test. But if the fissure is not the same I couldn't use thermography
Probably the best option is using microwaves or artificial vision. What do you think?
