I am new to this board. Need your help to understand the Infared market. I am trying get a sense of what is the potential for the Infrared market. Market size, market share etc. For a starter, in the automotive industry, for the night vision application, how big is the market for IR camera? How much potenital is there. etc.

The market is booming in the UK. We have been going for 3 years and have seen our turnover rise 88% year one and 60% year two. We focus only on the property market working for major property companys and architects. We have just completed training with Michelin, the tyre people and are about to break into the electrical market, which is far bigger - though less profitable than building thermography. It does however mean less ladders, night working and aborted jobs with poor weather. A problem for us at the moment in Scotland! Good luck if you are starting a company, my advice to you is, pick a market and go for it!
