Re:Infrared market stewart 9/2/2004
The market is booming in the UK. We have been going for 3 years and have seen our turnover rise 88% year one and 60% year two. We focus only on the property market working for major property companys and architects.

We have just completed training with Michelin, the tyre people and are about to break into the electrical market, which is far bigger - though less profitable than building thermography. It does however mean less ladders, night working and aborted jobs with poor weather. A problem for us at the moment in Scotland!

Good luck if you are starting a company, my advice to you is, pick a market and go for it!

Re:Infrared market Market Street 10/14/2010
There are multiple referral companies out there. Some work and some don't. Our business is in NC and FL Restoration 365 - http://www.restoration-365.com and http://www.restoration365.com.

As to the OP... even though this is a very old post, infrared is booming now that the US economy is getting back to normal. A company of ours in Nashville, TN has been swamped thanks to the floods. http://www.dryingspecialists.net

I see most of the potential in the water damage restoration industry.
