fuse repair priority Hal 10/7/2004
I have a question on repair priority for fuses. I am not clear if Table 16-6 in Holst includes fuse temperature differences. Would a 10F be included as a "repair as soon as possible" priority?

Here is the fuse example.

Without the current through the fuses, the temperture readings do not have much bearing. The heated elements in the fuses can be lieing closer to the body of the fuse or a different manufacturer of fuse could be installed. Evaluate the fuses in your systems based on application, loading, environment and temperture pattern.

Remember we are looking at an indirect profile and must make some assumptions as to the actual generator of this heat.

Direct response to this question is: NO

you can suggest to repair or inspect at next maintenance period (not beyond six months)

regards.
