Can anyone please point me in the right direction to get an industry standard for classifying electrical anomalies?

Hi there,

If you are interested in classifying potential failures by temperature, you could check out NETA and/or NFPA70B.

I would use these as a guide rather than a "set-in-stone" rule however and do not forget than when looking at delta-T measurements for comparison, wherever possible take load readings, but please do it safely.

Good luck,
