I have to catch IR photos of a machine which give off lots of vapor.
How can I deal with the water on the surface of lens?
I thought to use a glass cloth or a hair dryer, but afraid of destroying the lens. |

Try using Glad Clingwrap (crystal clear polyethylene) on the lens to protect it. The transmission of this plastic is about 0.89 for a LW camera. Use a fan or hair dryer set on cold to help blow away water droplets off the plastic.
