Mechanical stress on pipe flanges Raphaël 2/6/2004

I am interested by any document, advice, etc, concerning the possible use of infrared thermography for the detection of badly mounted mechanical flanges, inducing an excess of stress and a high risk of rupture.
This concerns more particularly pipes transporting highly flamable liquid.
