This is why I will always use an infrared camera in my home inspections.

What's the problem. Wires are rated to a much higher temp and I am not sure I undestand what point your refering to. You need to add more to the post. I have been working on building a data base for electrical components in the home including detection of knob and tube which may be overheating.
