| Is there a filter or way to see liquid propane leaks with a S-60 camera? |

| Propane has a high IR transmittance in the 8-14 micrometer waveband and would not easily be seen by a long wave IR camera unless the concentration was quite high and there was excellent radiance contrast between the gas plume and the surroundings. In the mid-wave propane has a strong absorption band and can quite easily be seen in small concentrations by the GasFindIR camera, designed specifically for spotting volatile organic compounds (VOCs). I have attached the spectrum for your information. |
