Can the GasFind IR camera detect formaldehyde?

Based on the absorption characteristics of CH2O, it may be difficult to “see” this particular gas. There are some absorption bands that fall within the spectral response of the GasFindIR, but it is somewhat low, at 40% absorption. This would be a gas that we would try to test before a firm answer could be given.
