| Since windows reflect the IR how do you identify leaks in the frame and heat transfer through the glass? |

| Plain glass is actually a pretty good emitter. The emissivity is in the low .90s, so reflectivity is less than .1. You should be able to measure the emissivity with Scotch 33 electrical tape. As for leaks around the frame, you're looking for anomallies from one area to another on wood, vinyl,coated aluminum or some other material and the glass has no effect. |
