Accuracy in thermal scan of skin Haydel 7/6/2009
These images are showing thermal head images, these images were taken during both kids having fever. The highest overall temperatures were the same as the oral thermometer reading. This was a supprise to me.

A thermal measurement taken at the inner eye duct (inner, or medial, canthus) usually correlates well with an internal temperature measurement due to the vascularization, thin membrane, high emissivity, and being recessed, better protection from the exterior environment.
