| Tramex Moisture Scanner |

We're looking for a moisture meter to use in conjunction with our infrared camera to verify potential wet areas (instead of core cutting each detected spot).
The following is the only meter I could find that looks to fit the bill - can anyone comment on it? (or make another suggestion)
Thanks,
-John

John,
I am a professional damp assessor and i use the protimeter range. They are slightly more expensive than the tramex however extremely relyable.
i would recommend the survey master as a starter, then you could progress on to the MMS meter which incoporates RH and temperature logging etc.

remember measurements on masonry are based on an arbitary scale, only readings from timber are relative to the actual moisture content shown.
Always show moisture readings taken from timber as WMC actual wood moisture content. |

The RWS is the best non-destructive meter out there for built up roof and EIFS. remember, any of the capacitance meters will react to metal so stucco it won't work so well and epdm roofing.

I scan approximatly 7 to 10 million square feet of commercial roofing a year. I always have a tramex RWS with me when i go and scan. Obviously it will not work on all systems, but will on majority of them.
Quick way to verify results, but don't become dependent on it. |
