Market Analysis limo2088 5/26/2004
Which industry would most benefit from Thermography?

Do insurance companies offer savings by having infrared maintenances performed?

If so what type of savings are we talking about?

:::definitive is MILITARY..

::: No, sometimes the insurances companys keep lower the insurance policies due the fact that customer plants uses what they call "risk control management" in order to avoid sinester that may to obligate to insurance company to pay high cost to customers.

maybe i am wrong but i expect that most of the collegues participate at this thread,,

If you want to start to run your infrared bussines will need to walk around industries and make small marketing research ;)

Re:Market Analysis stewart 6/3/2004
The construction industry is really picking up in the UK. We specialise in flat roofing surveys and have surveyed 500,000 square metres in the last two years - (thats a lot of sq feet!)

We estimate we have saved each client typically £100,000. Much more than that, we have prevented them from proceeding with inaccurate proposals based on isolated core samples.

In turn this means less environmental impact as new roof materials are normally oil based and disposing of old non-biodegradable PVC roofs is not a political nightmare. We have saved clients stripping out perfectly good roofs by showing them small wet areas that can easily be patched and extend the life expectancy of the roof as a whole.

Good luck with which ever avenue you choose. I would advise you choose at least two industries as outdoor work is very weather dependent.

I have found that insurance adjusters love IR for water losses. It helps to validate the drying process.
