ITC and BSI add Two New Building Science Courses

Practical, hands-on curricula focus on detection of moisture and mold-growth condition, post-catastrophe, and energy efficiency audits
Geared to new infrared camera users or practicing thermographers wanting focused training on commercial and residential building inspection, the new courses cover all aspects of using infrared thermography to monitor and diagnose the condition of buildings. No infrared thermography experience is necessary.
“We developed these curricula in response to high demand from insurance companies, restoration firms, building owners, and thermographers involved in other aspects of building and plant maintenance and operations,” said Bob Madding, PhD, the Director of ITC. “We have already received a high level of interest in these courses, which describe numerous actual cases of how IR thermography has pinpointed sources of building moisture, provided definitive Cause and Origin data, enabled energy savings, and even prevented incipient catastrophes.”

IRBS-101 - One Day Introduction for Technicians to Infrared Thermography in Water Intrusion and Restoration of Buildings
IRBS-201 - Two Day Application Course for Supervisors Using Infrared Thermography in Water Intrusion and Restoration of Buildings
IRBS 351 - Three and a half Day Certification in Infrared Building Science
