I can detect high resistance faults in electrical contacts with an SC620 (see image).
It would be nice to detect plating issues (base metal exposure) on cadmium plated aluminum connectors. Heating the connector with 0.2Hz square waves only shows dark lines (expected).
350 amp pulses heat the connector but it is not possible to detect the difference between light surface scratches and deeper scratches that expose base metal (aluminum).
Has anyone worked this issue?
