DO thermographers have to spend extended periods of time away from their families to fulfill job tickets--does this occupation amount to another semi-nomadic lifestyle? |

Not necessarily. I did most of my field work in and around Milwaukee, rarely had to travel.
It all depends on your marketing, what markets you are trying to serve, and where the customers for those markets are. We had a lot of manufacturing in Milwaukee so we had a good potential customer base.

depends on your location and market research first.
i have all lot of customers inside 100 miles radius.
