I need to convert an infrared camera NETD figure to noise photoelectrons like a visible light camera would have.
I've come up with this idea for the conversion:
* Change NETD to Joules -- the emissitivity in the following equation would be one because the definition of NETD employs black surfaces?
deltaQ=emiss x stefan's const x Area x delta T^4
* Then, I would convert to photoelectrons that represent the energy of one photon, i.e.,
E=hv=3.97^-19joules.
Is this sensible?
Thanks,
