The illusive gold-cup pyrometer |

Does anybody know where I can find a company that provides Gold-Cup pyrometer surveys on Furnace and Reformer tubes (apart from Synetix)? Or a company that currently makes and sells these types of thermometers?
OR does anybody know of any other type of Portable Contact thermometer to accurately get surface tube temperatures?
I feel that the widely talked about Gold-Cup pyrometer for furnace tube measurement has become an urban myth as my research has been futile to find anybody who offers the equipment or service today.

Land Infrared in Pennsylvania used to make them. I don't know if they still manufacture them. Shell Global Solutions own a goldcup pyrometer and still use it to measure tube temperatures. It's use is somewhat limited because the pyrometer has to physically touch the tube to make a measurement. If you are interested, I can give you a contact number and talk to them directly.
