For a more industrial strength solution, try the microwave video transmitters at http://www.dtccom.com/index.html
I have personally seen these used with FLIR cameras at several hundred feet or more.

There are many types of transmitters around that can do 100 years or more line of site. The newest is Canatrans from Toronto...try this URL
