Can anyone please give me some guidance on how to go about measuring the flame temperature in a pulverised coal fired boiler? I've seen from other posts and research that gases radiate in discrete bands and I would assume that the pyrometer must be sensitive in that band.
Also is the furnace(background) is close in temperature to the flame(foreground)? Apparently if this is the case then the emissivity can be set to 1(one). I must still figure out why this is.
Thanks in advance for the help.
