NFPA 70E for Thermographers
When inspecting electrical systems, thermographers are exposed to the potential of electrical shock or, far worse, an arc flash. This tutorial will discuss the latest information regarding NFPA 70E, the standard for electrical safety in the workplace. We will briefly address the basics of electrical safety as it relates to infrared thermography, plus provide an important overview of how NFPA 70E applies to thermographers inspecting electrical systems.
