Level I sUAS Public Safety Certification

IMPORTANT NOTE **This is a PUBLIC SAFETY Course and PROOF OF EMPLOYMENT IN PUBLIC SAFETY is REQUIRED** Our Level I sUAS Public Safety Thermography Certification training course is a four-day class designed specifically to provide public safety professionals the theoretical and practical foundations necessary for effective law enforcement, fire, hazmat, search and rescue, and emergency management operations with an sUAS. This course is designed to introduce you to the world of aerial infrared thermography by describing the potential applications, equipment/camera requirements, the science behind the technology, and public safety report writing detailed towards supporting cases.

To enroll in advanced-level certification courses, you must first complete the required prerequisite levels. If you’ve earned an equivalent certification through another provider, you’ll need to submit proof of completion in advance. What you will learn?

Two days of infrared theory including thermal science, heat transfer, sUAS infrared science, and successful infrared techniques, with example applications specific to fire, law enforcement, and emergency management;
Two days of instruction on the development of your sUAS program and successful flight techniques instructed by an sUAS Law Enforcement Instructor with 23 years of service;

The successful application of infrared science while facing the challenges of sUAS flight; ;
Infrared courses are developed and taught by ITC's Level III, ASNT Level III, or EPRI Level III Instructors. ITC's domestic and international training staff includes several Level III thermographers certified by ASNT and BINDT with over 100 years combined infrared thermography applications experience. The Level II infrared training courses are taught by certified instructors with extensive experience in a wide variety of infrared thermography and thermal imaging applications.

Certification

Students who complete all training course requirements receive a Level I sUAS Public Safety Infrared Thermography Certification.

Accreditation

Continuing Education Credits: ITC: 24 CEU's

Examinations will be administered electronically. Tablets are also acceptable.

IR Reporting Software

Please have software installed. Software can be used to assist with many of the camera lab exercises.
