Recertification: Maintaining your Credential

Thermography certification serves as formal recognition of your infrared expertise. Validating your skills, knowledge, training, and hands-on experience. Recertification ensures you maintain proficiency, stay up to date with evolving IR technologies and industry best practices, and retain credentials that are recognized by organizations and clients worldwide.

Option 1: Course Attendance

You may renew your certification by attending any course at your current level or one level lower.

Guidelines:

  • Present a copy of your current certification.
  • Actively participate in all course requirements, including full course attendance, lab exercises, class discussions, and meeting the required training hours.
  • If your current certification is valid and you are attending the course for recertification in the same discipline, you do not need to take the exam.
  • Your certification will be extended for five (5) years from the date of course completion.

Option 2: Online Examination

Pass a 60-question online recertification exam - no course attendance required.

Guidelines:

  • Not available for expired certifications: This option is only available to individuals with a valid (non-expired) certification. If your certification has fully expired, you must recertify by attending a course and passing the exam.
